This year’s Night Escape ran extremely well due to Phil Keens organisation skills. (note attached at the bottom from Phil) We had 19 teams take part of which 7 were from the Guides.
Troops that took part:- 1st Bordon (1), 1st Headley (2), 3rd Alton (1), 8th Alton (2), Alresford & Cheriton (1), Four Marks (3), 1st Medstead (1) & 1st Ropley (1)
Guides that took part:- 3rd Alton (3), Four Marks (3) & Holybourne (1)
Scouts
1st Place (113 points) went to 1st Ropley who managed to get to all 13 bases (only 2 teams managed to do it this year) Well done to Douglas Cairns & his patrol who received 10 Silva compasses & an Orienteering kit for his Troop.
2nd Place (95 points) went to 8th Alton who also managed all 13 bases.
3rd Place (80 points) went to Alresford & Cheriton who visited 12 bases.
Guides
1st Place (88 points) went to 3rd Alton, team 1 who managed to get to 12 bases
2nd Place (64 points) went to Four Marks, team 1 who also managed 10 bases
3rd Place (62.5 points) went to Holybourne who visited 10 bases.
Thanks to all the volunteers that ran the bases, without you this event would not have been run, see you next year.
Explorers from Shaws helped to run a base & Banderlogs filled in the gaps & did a bit of “Ghophering” Brill!!!

A big THANK YOU to all who ran bases, to all who provided equipment and resources, for the help from the explorer section who provided back up to struggling bases under pressure, and to all the participants who I trust had a good evening. Congratulations to the winning teams.
Litter this year was brilliant 1/2 a pedal bin liner over the whole course. Items found on the ground 1torch ,1woggle, 1glove red/black with grey fingers. sorry but no mobile phone or necker
